A Master’s Degree is a certification earned after completion of two or three years’ of diploma after any basic college courses. It is an academic degree which one individual undergone with a practice or research to demonstrate or perform in her/his subject or course of interest.
Master’s Degrees were first begin in the Middle Ages where scholarly trained candidates were awarded with terms like doctorate and master’s degree; however in due course doctorate term regarded as a higher value or qualification than master’s degree term. In some states or countries master’s degree also entitled with magister; because magister is also a person who carries or earns a degree in any specialization or course.
Normally, in earlier stages master’s degree consists of two titles; which are Master of Arts (M.A.) and Master’s of Science (M.Sc.). However, later master’s degree courses are expanded with various specializations or interests of one’s subject. Many universities of different countries offer a common education; whereas some universities draw people with more than hundred specializations or courses of education, research or practices.

Types of Masters Degree
Typically, Master’s Degree is of two types; one is Post Graduate Master’s Degree and the other is Executive Master’s Degree.
A student can obtain a regular Post Graduate Master’s Degree simply after completion of his Graduate or Bachelor’s Degree on his practiced or performed subject. The courses undergo this are M.A, M.Com, M.Sc., MBA, MSW, M.Ed., M.F.A. etc. On other side, some Post Graduate Degrees can be obtained on any subject without any research or practice in his graduate level or academic level.
An Executive Master’s Degree can be granted to personnel who’ve minimum 4-5 years of experience in any profession. Some of the courses that undergo in this type are EMBA, EMS etc. which are totally different by its admission procedure, course curriculum, course duration, exam pattern and other structures as compared to a regular Post Graduate Master’s Degree program.
